Knox Box Access Program

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide improved fire protection services within the Willow Street Fire Co response area , we have adopted the West Lampeter Twp Rapid Access System for properties with automatic fire alarm systems.

Benefits of the voluntary program include:

• Quicker access to premises by fire department personnel
• Reduction in forcible entry property damage when a key holder is not available
• Reduction in late night or inclement weather owner notifications for alarm system resets

The program that we have implemented uses secure Knox Box Rapid Entry surface mounted key boxes.  Inside the key box, you keep access cards, codes, and keys necessary to access you property and the alarm system for the building.  The Knox Box can only be opened by authorized fire department personnel for the purpose of investigating fire alarms and to reset the system as needed.

The department recommends Knox-Box #3266 (hinged, surface mount with tamper switch wiring) for most commercial building applications.

To obtain a Knox Box for you property, please follow the below instructions for online ordering:

• Go to KnoxBox.com and click the Log-In link at the top of the page.  You will be directed to a page to create an account.
• Select the type of Knox Box from the available options on the left side of the page.
• Under Find Your Department, use 17584 as the Zip Code or Willow Street under Pennsylvania in the state drop-down menu, and click search departments.
• Find Willow Street Fire Company, 2901 Willow Street Pike .  Once this link is clicked, you will be directed to a page with a green proceed with pre-authorization order box. 
• Click on the green box and a page with the various stles of the model Knox Box you selected will appear.  Select the style of your choosing and add to cart.  You will be asked to complete the Installation Address form.  Once complete click save address at the bottom of the page.
• You will then be directed to your shopping cart.  Review the information and provide payment information.  If all information is accurate click submit for E-Approval at the bottom of the page
