WORKING HOUSE FIRE ASSISTING LAMPETER

The company was dispatched at 1813 to assist 54 (Lampeter) for a reported house fire in the 2100 blk of Southview Road. While responding , crews were advised that the police department was on the scene with a working garage fire that was extending into the house. Chief 50 arrived shortly after and confirmed the report that was given from the police department. Tower 50 arrived and assumed 1st due truck company functions. While the outside crews was throwing ladders, the interior team along with crews from Engine 542 made the 2nd floor of the house. Crews were met with high heat and heavy fire conditions. Members on the 2nd floor began knocking the fire down while completing searches and opening up for the engine company. Engine 502 arrived and assisted with fire attack on the garage area of the house. On the arrival of the Rescue Co , they were assigned to take care of the utilities. While controlling the utilities , the crews from the rescue found fire in the basement of the house. Crews quickly controlled the fire in the basement with a line from the front yard. Crew operated on the scene for several hours assisting with opening up and hitting hot spots.
