| While units were responding, Lancaster County Communications advised that multiple callers were reporting a working fire at the address.
Assistant 58 arrived on scene to find a 30' x 40' building with heavy fire throughout. Rescue 50 arrived shortly thereafter and deployed crews to assist with fire suppression efforts.
Members of Rescue 50 made entry to the second floor of the structure and advanced to attack the fire. During operations, the second-floor structure began to show signs of failure and compromise. Recognizing the changing conditions, all interior crews were immediately ordered to evacuate the building, and operations transitioned to a defensive strategy.
Crews remained on scene for approximately four hours, assisting with suppression and overhaul operations. Traffic 50 also responded and assisted with roadway closure and traffic control throughout the incident. |
