Sunday, November 29, 2009 - This evening the Willow Street Volunteers were dispatched to the intersection of Rt 272 southbound and Pennsy Rd for a vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Chief 5-12 signed on and County Communications advised that there were possibly 5-6 vehicles involved with multiple patients. The Chief arrived along with EMS and found there to be a 2 vehicle accident with as many as 6 patients. County upgraded the assignment to a mass casualty incident which brought Rescue 5-7 for the assist as well as additional EMS units. Crews assisted EMS with patient care and confirmed there was no entrapment. Hazards were taken care of and units remained on scene so that State Police could finish up investigating.
