At 0840hrs Rescue 50 was dispatched to assist Station 59 (Refton) on a vehicle accident reported with entrapment in the 1500 block of Beaver Valley Pike. Crews arrived to find one vehicle on it's side with the driver still in the vehicle. The car was stabilized and the windshield was removed before the patient self-extricated. Crews assisted with spill control and Squad 502 assisted with traffic control before returning to service. The volunteers also responded to a public service for a child locked in a vehicle and an automatic fire alarm later in the morning. Photos courtesy of Tom Amico.
