On Saturday evening January 6, 2018 at 19:27 units from Willow Street , Rawlinsville , Quarryville , Refton and Lampeter Fire Companies were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 1361 Byerland Church Road in Providence Township. Engine 502 ( Deputy Reese) arrived with smoke showing from the house. Tower 50 ( Chief Reese) arrived and took side alpha throwing the stick to the roof. Crew from the Engine 502 advanced 2 handlines inside the house finding fire in the walls and floor area around the fire place. Truck 57 ( Quarrville) , Rescue 905 ( Blue Rock ) and Air 7 ( Mountville) were also alerted to the scene to assist . Units worked for about an hour opening up and chasing hidden fire . The home was turned back over to the home owner . Units were cleared from the scene around 2130 hrs
